Just a quick post.... I never thought that I would try to make any bento during the weekdays, but I did!! Help, I've got a bento fever, I guess...;)!! After I got back from work today, the first thing I did was actually going into the kitchen and started to prepare the ingredients for the hamburger. Nevertheless I didn't do something big, I used frozen hamburger patties which I just had to pan-fry for a few minutes and the spaghetti bolognese was a leftover from yesterday.

I've just found out since a few days ago that making bento is really fun, but it really does take time and patience to prepare. At least this sudden 'addiction' to bento making is making my blog and husband happy...:)! Hopefully this would not be something short-term. I tend to be rather impulsive sometimes...

P.S. I got the idea to make hamburgers with black olive eyes from the talented blogger, Susan Yuen. Thanks for this simple yet cute idea, Susan :)!

I was hoping of making a Bento 1 day as well - but its hard to make just one! Need to buy all the ingredients but end up making only 1 or 2. Need to plan my ingredients and what exactly I want 1st!

Your one looks really cute, a type of Character Bento! (キャラクター弁当) :D

very cute!!!! and beautifully presented - as usual! so finally you're into bento making? ;-)

Von said...

This is SO CUTE!!! I wanna make one too now.....I actually considered making a bento after your last one, and now I REALLY want to make one like this one!! But I don't have any lunch breaks at uni, so I'd probably never get around to eating it- I guess I'll have to wait until holidays (or perhaps weekends?) to eat at home! haha....

Christine Wu said...

LOVE IT! I bet your coworkers are all envious :)

Cooking Gallery said...

@ Imoet - Yes, finally I am into it. I only wanted to try it once, but since then I've got addicted...;)!

@ Christine Wu - To be honest, I don't bring my bento to work. I don't normally have the time to prepare any bento during the week, so I always do it at the weekend, just for the fun of it :).
