Kimchi Fried Rice

If you love kimchi and you love fried rice, you would also love this dish. I was tickled to make Kimchi fried rice after I saw the recipe in Ancoo's blog. I had never made Kimchi fried rice before, but the recipe sounded quite simple, so I decided to give it a try. I added fish sauce and oyster sauce, because I just love these two condiments for my Asian/Wok dishes...:)

Ingredients (for 2 people)
  • 2 cups cooked rice
  • 100 gr kimchi with liquid, chopped
  • 100 gr prawns (optional)
  • Green onions/ chives, sliced
  • 1 tbs fish sauce (optional)
  • 2 tbs oyster sauce (optional)
  • 2 tbs oil
  • Salt and pepper
  • 2 eggs
  • Sesame seeds

What to do
  • Heat your wok and add 2 tbs of oil
  • Add kimchi and then the prawns. Stir, then add fish sauce.
  • Add the cooked rice, salt, pepper and oyster sauce.
  • Lastly, add the green onions.
  • Garnish with sesame seeds and fried egg (sunny side up)

  1. It looks totally awesome! I just had some fried rice too, but with peas, diced sausages, spring onions, etc. etc. But this kimchi fried rice looks sooooooooo much better!
